GRM Curve Feathers Template (English)

By March 19, 2025No Comments

It’s a tool that helps us distribute consecutive feather models, such as wing feathers.
To do this, the tool creates a primitive attribute called uprim, which is based on the primitive number (@primnum), that is, it ranges from 0 to 1, from the first guide to the last.
In the CurveFeathersTemplate, we add the feather models, and using a ramp, we define where we want to place that model along the row of guides, using the uprim attribute.
The “Feather Template Node” parameter is not mandatory, but if we enter it, we can have the list of models in the Model parameter’s drop-down menu, thus facilitating the process and avoiding potential human errors.

If ramps from different models overlap each other, the system will place interpolated booms based on the ramp weights of the overlapping ramp values.
